Games have been around for a really long time. This is because every child, even baby animals, love to play. It\’s something that is inherent in our bodies. I remember when I was a little girl, my grandmother and grandfather used to tell me stories about how they used to play when they were little. We didn\’t have all the conveniences we have today. Even I did not have the conveniences that kids have today. We didn\’t have cell phones, computers, or televisions.
My grandmother saw her first television when she was 25. This is absolutely unimaginable, but I remember my mother also telling me that when I was 3 years old, she bought a TV for our house, saying that she had not saved up money to buy a TV before then and did not have any money at all to buy one. Unfortunately, my father had left home and my mother was left alone with us two children. Of course I was very disappointed, but I don\’t remember what I should have done. Mom told me all the free games we could play.
We mostly played darts, hide and seek, and bubba bubba. I think everyone knows about blind bubba, but the best part for me was the darts. It was the most fun. I will never forget my grandmother showing me what she used to do when she was younger. My grandmother told me that all she could do was jump over erasers. Jumping over rubber bands is so much fun. I used to know all the jumps and memorize them. If I had an eraser, I would try it too, but I have a son who is lazy and doesn\’t want to enjoy anything. When he does do something, he usually falls or breaks something. My son likes to play games, but he mostly plays on the computer or his cell phone. I am not surprised anymore.
